Javier Flores M.D.  

Dr Javier Flores is a board-certified dermatologist. He graduated in 1999 from the University of Miami department of Dermatology and Jackson Memorial Hospital. He received his medical degree at University of Miami School of Medicine in 1995. He obtained his undergraduate dual degree in Biology and Chemistry at Georgetown University in Washington, D.C.
Dr. Flores has been the recipient of numerous awards including "Best in Dermatology" given to the graduating class best resident, "Outstanding Research" award and has been the principal investigator in over 120 clinical trials. He is a volunteer faculty member at the University of Miami Department of Dermatology assigned with attending residents in their clinical duties.
Dr. Flores major interests include hair restoration, non-invasive cosmetic procedures and detection and treatment of skin cancer. He is certified by the American Society of Mohs surgery to remove skin cancers using the most efficient and reliable technique.

Hair Transplantation
 He developed a keen interest in hair restoration since residency. He developed the technique now commonly known as follicular units transplantation long before other surgeons were trying it on their patients.  His achieves consistently enhaced natural results and he continues to develop new techniques to harvest the most grafts in limited donor areas. He has developed a reputation for specialized cases and needs such as grafting in previously injured/traumatized areas, masking facelifts scars and reconstructing eyebrows. He has appeared on National Television such as Telemundo, Fox, Univision, ABC, where he has shown national audiences his work. More info

Botox
Dr. Flores is currently one of the Botox network preferred providers certifying adequate training to perform Botox. He is highly skilled at the technique ensuring the highest level of safety

Fillers
Fillers are materials used for the purpose of filling in areas that may have wrinkled over time/aging effects. Various materials are available including collagen, hyeoluronic acid, and radiance.  They each differ in consistency, FDA approval and duration.  The choice of material to use depending on the need is a joint effort between patient and doctor and each case is evaluated individually.
