Acne
The N-lite laser is the newest weapon in the fight against acne. The FDA recently approved it for this purpose. The laser treatment is relatively painless and takes about 15 minutes to complete a full face. It is elective in over 80% of cases, even in tough acne. It works by eradicating the bacteria frequently found in acne lesions. It also has antiinflammatory effects as it targets the blood vessels involved in acne. This laser is ideal for the patient who does not want to take antibiotics or follow cumbersome acne regimens. In a lot of cases a single treatment can have beneficial effects for 4-6 months. Red lesions, capillaries and other red marks
Red lesions on the skin are usually due to capillary (blood vessels) formation. They are frequently found on the nose and cheeks. The N-lite can treat these lesions very effectively by targeting the vessels, leading to their eventual destruction.
Wrinkles around the eyes
The N-lite has FDA approval for improving the appearance of fine wrinkles in the periorbital areas. After a few treatments it induces collagen formation which makes the skin look younger and smoother. The recovery time is minimal and the procedure relatively painless.  |
